Confucius say: if you think we’re going to sum up your whole life on this little bit of paper, you’re crazy.
I found it in a tweet from zen_habits.

There is a Leonard Cohen channel on YouTube with official videos. Currently only eight but I hope that grows.
One of the official videos there are Dance Me to the End of Love. Embedding is disabled by request so you have to use the link.
I came across a beautiful photo on Flickr, Tools of my trade.. It’s all rights reserved so you have to go there to see it. The text for that photo says:
Not a museum shot just an old fashioned bloke with a love for old fashioned tools.
A friend sent me Bach duo (see the video below) and it’s an amazing way to play piano, a floor piano to be more exact. At YouTube there are also Hungarian Rhapsody Piano Dancing and Mozart On The Floor Piano.
An odder version is to Play Piano With Balls.
Ana Flávia is on Twitter as @esoterismo and today she tweeted about two very nice songs. They are “Meditando com os Anjos” (Angel’s Meditation) and “Existência” , very relaxing music.
I got the CD Beyond from a close friend of mine. The website is at Beyond Singing – Buddhist and Christian Prayers. The main site is in German but there is an English version. The site has a Flash-player so you can listen to short pieces of the songs there.
The CD contains a spiritual message by Tina Turner (inspired by Deepak Chopra and RUMI), the full message can be read at her fansite BEYOND. Here is the beginning of Tina’s message:
Nothing lasts forever, nobody lives forever. The Flower dries and dies, the winter passes and spring comes. Embrace the circle of life: That is the greatest love. Go beyond the fear. Don’t give in to the insistence of fear, anger and vengeance and thou shall be beyond the fear, where love grows and thrives. To be liberated means to really feel yourself. Start each day like the birds singing. Singing helps you beyond, far, further, more and more.
It’s amazing how well the Buddhist and Christian prayers blend, it’s a real pleasure to listen to. Beyond creates a sense of peace and calm.
I am catching up with blog feeds and came across two DIY-projects at Lifehacker. One is an inverted bookshelf, the other is the invisible floating bookshelf. Both look odd and will confuse people.
Source for the invisible floating bookshelf is Apartment Therapy with the slogan “saving the world, one room at a time“, it’s an interesting site.
Twanalyst.com gives you a free Twitter personality test. As always, take it with a grain of salt but it’s a fun thing.
I have done it and got this back:
Personality: renowned inquisitive cautious
Style: chatty academic
BOFFIN
I disagree with boffin but the rest seems pretty accurate. You also get some tweeting tips, mine were:
Your tweeting is already tip-top! No improvements needed – but check back here every so often to make sure your reputation is being maintained!
I notice that when they calculate tweets/day they simply take from when you signed up until current date. In my case that does not make sense. I joined in April 2007 but started tweeting seriously in January 2009.
I use iStockphoto for images and get their Tip of the Week. Today it says:
LIFE and Getty Images, the two most recognized names in photography, have created LIFE.com so you can access millions of breathtaking photographs — for free.
LIFE.com lets you wander through the legendary LIFE and Getty archives, and with more than 3,000 new photos added every day, it also gives you the best pictures of people and places shaping our world.
I have taken a look at the new LIFE – Your World in Pictures and it looks very promising.
A link to this photo turned up in my Twitter stream today, it is a beautiful photo. Original tweet was from @holistic1.
