Øredev 2009 is over

I was at Øredev 2009 November 2-6 and it was a terrific conference with lots of interesting presentations and around 900 attending. It was well organized and I really enjoyed it all.

On Monday I attended a full day tutorial with Marc Lesser.

On Tuesday I prepared the slides for my own presentation. In the evening it was Speaker’s Dinner at Rådhuset. Great people, great food and an impressive house.

On Wednesday I attended the track PM in Practice.

On Thursday I attended the track Aspects of Leadership where my own presentation was. In the evening we got an entertaining presentation by Ze Frank (an American online performance artist, composer, humorist and public speaker).

On Friday I spent some hours at the conference and then went back home.

Social Media Inspiration

Today I attended a seminar arranged by Ledarna in cooperation with IHM Business School. Brit Stakston from JMW Kommunikation had a very interesting and informative presentation about Social media.

Social media is about relationships and storytelling. Brit also talked about digital presence which is much more than just having your own homepage. My own digital presence is fairly large, see my sites and my profiles, but I still got things to consider. I’ll probably rearrange some of my content in order to strengthen my over all profile.

WeFollow – A User Powered Twitter Directory

WeFollow is a new user powered Twitter directory with the intention of making it easier to find people to follow.

In Digg Founder Launches WeFollow Twitter Directory it says:

Digg founder Kevin Rose has launched a Twitter directory called WeFollow to address the issue( finding the right people to follow).

To get yourself listed, simply send an @ reply message to WeFollow with three tags that you would like to be identified by, and WeFollow will add you to the directory for those tags.

For instance, tweeting “@wefollow #tech #music #nyc” will get you listed under the tags for Tech, Music, and NYC.

I signed up with “@wefollow #coach #lifecoach #blogger” and found out that I was the first one using the tag lifecoach.

TwiTip – Twitter Tips in 140 Characters or More

TwiTip is a great site with lots of tips and information about Twitter.

Take a look at 10 Twitter Tools that Help You Work Smarter and 10 MORE Must Have Twitter Tools (forget “must” and see what suits you).

For those who have many followers (or aim for that), see How to Follow ALOT of People on Twitter and Still be Engaging using TweetDeck.

I use TweetDeck – Twitter on your desktop and it is a very useful even when you follow a reasonable number of people.
